Lucy Gafford - Redemption Through Imagination

In her early teenage years, Lucy snuck out of windows, threw eggs at houses, and was often reprimanded for her attention-seeking shenanigans. After embracing her creativity to make her mark on the world, she is now in Ripley’s Believe it or Not, has a new exhibition at the Mobile Museum of Art, and is bringing positivity through the arts at the Mobile Arts Council.

Lucy Gafford is the Executive Director of the Mobile Arts Council. In this role, she concentrates on community outreach with Mobile-area artists and arts organizations, coordinates educational programs and annual public art initiatives, organizes fundraising events, and more. Lucy is also a visual artist whose artwork can be found throughout the greater Mobile area, including the Oyster Trail, the USA Moulton Bell Tower, the ArtGO! Trail, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
